[desafio] Mini Jungle

After 10 years living in Amsterdam - I have moved to Lisbon, and with that, on my great pleasure I manage to take participation of the 3rd edition of " Desafio Aquascaping Aquariofilia.net" ! 

It was an amazing afternoon, to meet local aquascapers, and share experiences!! 🙂

This guy is dangerous. Cuidado!!!

He arrived, like "no want the thing", and "pumbas", a powerful layout, very dramatic, full of moss, with that Balcanic touch..

Ainda não speaks portuguese, o que é good, because we can say bad things about him, and he only smiles...

But I don't have bad things to say about his layout, as is one of my favourites... It's different, and has bués potential.

But the name........ Mini??? You can't think small... Mini is for coitadinhos... HUGE jungle... Junglezorra... The Queen of the jungles... Jungle até mais não... Think big, my friend... Always big!!!

Kire, what an audacity to bring this ideia for this kind of contest with so short time for aquarium maturation, I'm saying this in the good way! An approach absolutely different of all the other contestants! 

You already know, but the trimming work will be a little nightmare, on the other way can be a very pleasant task after a hard work day. 

Can't wait to see the development of this little fella!

Hello all,  I am happy to. see this topic has sparkled some interest

Initially I had lots of problems with the wood - it was. releasing lots of dirt and the plants. were simply dying..   I  replanted this tank 3 times with different types of moss,  but with very limited success
I did remove some of the  wood and add lots of Sachem Purigen and carbon and The tank got more stable and plants kick off

for. 2 months I had these algae showing up

Replanting for the 3rd time!

 

Finally some success 🙂
